Warning: Spoilers
When Misato and Shinji going to stop JA, it was very thrilling. And I'm wondering what commander Ikari is thinking, there should me more plot that he prepared.

Slightly deep, and wholesome too

Warning: Spoilers
In this episode it's Misato who is the heroine albeit pointlessly fanserviced as (nearly) always. A mech known as Jet Alone developed by NERV's allies goes out of control (another time a mech goes out of control, when will they learn to make them more reliable?) and while Shinji holds its attention she goes inside to bring it back to normal. When you think of Evangelion its Christian symbolism, which is just there to be exotic as Hideaki Anno has admitted, is one of the things you think of. The password to stop its aggression is hope but something has changed and so she has to shut it down with physical strength. This accomplished it's branded a miracle (the odds of success were 0.0002% or something but odds seem to make no difference in Evangelion) although Ritsuko ominously adds that it was engineered by someone (Gendo I bet). Well might one say that ''he who endures to the end shall be saved''. The boys as usual want to see Misato as they're attracted to her and tell Shinji how good it is to have a woman like that and while this sounds shallow early in the episode at the end of the episode he says how she's sloppy etc. But then it's pointed out to him that she lets him see another side to her and so she's family. The episode's ending then is like its beginning but more cheerful. What a strangely happy episode by Evangelion standards. As far as I'm concerned this is the best episode of Evangelion.
