• Continuity: The amount of blood on First Officer Ray's shirt, when he comes out of the cargo hold, keeps changing between shots.
  
  
• Factual errors: During the discussion at the Pentagon, there is talk of a new strain of "malaria virus." Malaria is caused by Plasmodium, a protozoan parasite, not a virus.
  
  
• Factual errors: The Navy pilot states that the "number 3" engine was damaged on the 747. Any pilot would know that engines are numbered starting with "1" on the outer left and get higher while moving to the right side of an airplane. Therefore, the smoking engine is in fact "number 2".
  
  

• Factual errors: The fighter plane that is dispatched to shoot down the airplane is an F-14 Tomcat. It was retired from the U.S. Navy fleet on 22 September 2006, having been replaced by the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. As of 2007, it remains in service only with the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force.
  
  
• Errors in geography: When the Pentagon is shown, the captioning says that it is in Washington, DC, but the Pentagon is actually in Arlington, Virginia.
