Girly Edition is a great Simpsons episode with a very well written storyline and plenty of very funny scenes. It's a fun episode, I enjoyed seeing Bart and Lisa starting a kids news broadcasting channel together, the network executives were one of the funniest moments, and the scene were Bart visits Kent Brockman's mansion would be my favourite part of the episode. It's definitely one of the weaker episodes of the ninth season, this one is jam packed with great episodes and in comparison, this one simply doesn't hit as many high notes, it has a story that really could have gone somewhere, but never goes far enough. The storyline between Homer and his new pet monkey was actually more entertaining to me than the main story was, I really enjoyed seeing him adopt a monkey, many parts had me in stitches, particularly when he got him addicted to donuts, and I felt it ended too soon and could have been developed more, it was a lot fun. It's not the finest episode of the ninth season, but Girly Edition is still an enjoyable Simpsons episode.
Bart and Lisa become rivals as they try to manage a kids news broadcasting series together, meanwhile, Homer adopts a monkey.
