The Goods go in to service.
Scaramouche200420 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
With their trusty old pram wheels now out of commission permanently, the Goods are stuck for much needed transport.

Tom latest revelation is to take out the engine of his practically redundant rotary cultivator, and build his very own car around it.

Barbara supports this idea but points out the practicalities. It will cost money to build, money to tax, money to insure and money to run, none of which they are able to afford.

Dispondant and in need of cheering up, The Goods venture next door to see the Leadbetters, and cannot believe their eyes. Jerry is mowing his OWN lawn, and Margo is cleaning her OWN kitchen.

This is because the Leadbetter's household staff, have decided to take an extended holiday. Margo is furious at having to do her own cleaning and is willing to jump at the slightest offer to be rid of this household headache.

The offer naturally comes from Tom and Barbara. They will go in to the Leadbetters service in order to pay for Tom's motor contraption.

But will a change of status between the two families have repercussions on their friendship?
