During filming of the theater segments J. Elvis Weinstein, the voice of Tom Servo, sneezed violently. The other cast members acted like it was Servo who did that, and it was worked into the episode.
This episode is on the Volume 19 DVD Box Set of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
Servo quips about Johnny in "Robot Monster": "think his head is Pop-O-Matic?" This is a nod to the board-game "Trouble" that featured a single die in a plastic bubble that the player presses to roll the die.
Servo says: "We'd be crispy critters." This was the name of a breakfast cereal, made by Post, that unfortunately became a slang term for severe, usually fatal, burn victims.
Servo quips "Johnny, don't be a hero. Don't be a fool with your life." This a joke about the Paper Lace song "Billy, Don't Be A Hero."
