My Fair Laddy is a good Simpsons episode with a well written storyline and some very funny scenes. It's very enjoyable, I liked seeing an episode focus on Groundskeeper Willie, as we see him turn in to a more polite, sophisticated version of himself, I loved the transition in his voice, some very impressive work done by Dan Castellaneta. Admittedly, I did feel it had more potential than it delivered, the plot was lacking really development, seeing Willie go from rough to posh, and back again without really giving us a reason why each time. I also felt it could have had some heart, despite a relationship forming between Lisa and Willie, there's is no indication that the two have became closer, there's never a sense of a friendship between them, it would have been a nice extra layer to the plot. Boasting some great songs and a fun story, it's not a highlight of the seventeenth season, but My Fair Laddy is an enjoyable Simpsons episode.
