Thought provoking animation
This is not your childhood cartoon. There are no coyotes or blue little people or fairy princesses. But the stars are definitely out in "The Astronomer."
Lance Myers has scripted and animated a beautiful and thought-provoking piece of work that is utterly relatable to anyone who has invested their life into something, then questioned their validity. His style is fluid and easy on the eyes, and he allows the work to speak for itself, subscribing to a "less is more" philosophy that absolutely works in this piece. The only problem I see with "The Astronomer" is the viewer's frustration when it ends entirely too soon.
Great short, Mr. Myers. Give us some more.
