Stone & Parker do what they do best, make a humorous situation out of a gross subject matter!

Warning: Spoilers
This episode, to some extent, reminds me of "World Wide Recorder Concert" [3x17] in which Mr. Garrison was forced to re-enter a painful and troubled childhood that he had shut out for the past twenty years: his father sexually molesting him...or rather not! The episode enlightened me in just what South Park as a series was willing and capable of doing to get a laugh and "Cartman Joins NAMBLA" takes that idea one step further.

This is an absolutely hysterical episode with two brilliant stories that converge in a bizarrely hilarious way that is so unique of South Park up to this point in the series. It combines some of the very best of South Park (that I have seen) with an almost Marx Brothers like humour (as evidenced by the climax) and gives one of the most unforgettable episodes in the series yet.

Cartman feels he is becoming too mature and his friends are too slow through the phase of maturity and so he ditches them and attempts to find himself older friends with whom he can engage with! He eventually finds himself the poster boy for an activist group where men want to enforce a positive image of having sex with young boys!

This story is brilliant all the way through. Cartman on the computer trying to acquire more mature friends is hilarious in itself but it leads to somewhere truly brilliant. Kenny tries various ways to put an end to his parents plans after they announce they will be trying to have another child.

The part of the episode that I found BY FAR the funniest was the toilet humour. It's a phrase that South Park coined back in Season One and here it's at its most exemplary display yet. Kenny's father undergoes some of the most hilarious ordeals throughout this episode.

All in all, "Cartman Joins NAMBLA" is a hilarious, utterly disgusting and sickening episode and for all those reasons, it is absolutely brilliant. For me, it's right up there alongside "Spookyfish", "Chinpokomon" and "World Wide Recorder Concert" (I know) as my favourite episode yet.

One of my favorite episodes.
TOMNEL22 October 2006
Starring: Trey Parker as Cartman, Stan, Dr. Mephesto, Mr. Garisson, Officer Barbrady, Timmy, Dr. Doctor and various NAMBLA members.

Matt Stone as Kenny, Kyle, Stuart McCormick, Butters and various.

Eliza Schnieder as Mrs. McCormick.

This was such a great episode. It deals with Cartman, in search for more mature friends, becoming the poster child for NAMBLA (North American Man Boy Love Association). Meanwhile, Kenny's parents are trying to have another baby, but Kenny doesn't want one, so he tries to stop them in various ways that just end up hurting his dad. This episode is full of great jokes, and both plots in it are really funny. This is one of the few episodes to show Kenny and his home life. I highly recommend you watch this one!

My rating: **** out of ****. 22 mins.

Cartman joins NAMBLA is one of the funnier,f-ed up and better episodes of South Park.It has plenty of humorous scenes and the episode itself is just funny! The episode has Cartman getting tired of the fact that his friends are not as mature as he is.So he joins an internet chat room for pedophiles(not knowing so) and asks for a friend. He meets "mature" people online and meets them at places, but they all end up getting arrested.Cartman finds out about a group called Nambla(the north American man boy love association), however a bunch of people are trying to bring it down.Meanwhile, Kenny's parents want to have another child, but Kenny will stop at nothing to make sure it does not happen! This is a very funny and entertaining south park episode! One of the better ones!
