Tepid and light

Not bad but also far from remarkable. There are some funny moments (the scenes in the lab and in the pool are the best) and but it is deffinitely irregular. The story is a generic "high school" one made in Brazil, happening in the 80's, with perhaps a very slight political background of the opposition between critical and alienated after the end of dictatorship. It is shallow, light-hearted and not moving, but OK. Casting include many famous actors, including ones who would become better known afterwards.

The movie that if watched out of season influences, despite being set in the wonderful 80's, nothing entertained me, healthy inconsequential teen dramas are boring, good actors, reasonable script, very 80's photography, carioca beaches, but there was a lack of chemistry between me and them...

A good trip to the 80's
welingto-111 November 2007
The film is a funny comedy about a group of teenage friends during the high school period that reveals important questions inherent in youth and tries (successfully) not to be a Brazilian American Pie or a kind of foolishness. Thanks to the talent and sensitivity of the director Arthur Fontes (of Surf Adventures), good actors (Stefan Nercessian, Maria Flor, Dudu Azevedo, Fernanda Paes Leme), the soundtrack is not rock from the 80's(Jorge Well, Tim Maia, Secos and Wet). Pode Crer! is a film that is worth being watched. The kids portrayed in Pode Crer!, Though not alienated, wanted more fun, dates and making plan for the future. Some interruptions of images in super-8 with a little background music break the pleasant narrative displayed on the screen.
