I bought this movie back in 2001 from Japan. The DVD was without English subtitles. I honestly wish that this film would make it to America. My Japanese isn't great, but I throughly enjoyed the movie. The love story is very touching and tragic.
It's 1980's Japan. Masato (Issa Hentona) is a bit of a punk, but he's in love with music. He begs for a job at the Magic Lantern (a record rental shop.) He gets the job and falls in love with a co-worker, Miki (Takako Uehara). Tragedy ensues, but Masato becomes a stronger man through it all.
