This episode of Everybody Loves Raymond is a flagrant copy of the twelfth episode of season five of the Dick Van Dyke Show. That episode, "See Rob Write, Write Rob Write", has as its premise a story writing competition between Rob and Laura. This episode of ELR has as its premise a story writing competition between Debra and Ray. At no point in the credits is their an acknowledgement of the original script by Leonard Cohen, Fred Freeman and Carl Reiner. I have never seen this matter adjudicated before the Writers Guild of America - West.
