In a scene in the mess tent, Frank Burns is upset about Igor's service, and asks him his name. Igor replies that his name is Maxwell. Igor is, in fact, played by Jeff Maxwell.
Margaret mentions to Frank that she knows two General Barkers, in response to Frank asking if this is the same general who asked Margaret to spank her. The unseen Barker is this episode is Gen. Bradley Barker. The other Gen. Barker Margaret knows would be General Wilson Spaulding Barker, played by Sorrell Booke, who appeared in "Requiem for a Lightweight" (1972), and "Chief Surgeon Who?" (1972).
Radar had a brother who died. When thanking B.J. and Hawkeye for their help he says "Boy, I bet if my little brother had lived, he'd have grown up to be you two."
Colonel Potter reads in Stars & Stripes that the population of the US was 150 million people. The 1950 census was 150,697,361. That was up a whopping 14.5 percent from the 1940 census. This was the first census where more than one state recorded a population over 10 million. The most populous state was New York with 14,830,192 and the least populous was Nevada with 160,083. When Harry Morgan first appeared (as a different character) in The General Flipped at Dawn (1974) he said to Klinger, "Not now, Marjorie. I'm inspecting the troops." mistaking Klinger, wearing a dress, as his wife.
