This plays more like an episode of Bear Grylls' "Man Vs. Wild" than an episode of "Survivor" (the bulk of the running time is taken up by an exhausting 11-mile trek through the dense and muddy jungles of Guatemala), but I found it a refreshing change-of-pace. Also worth noting how much more endurance the women showed than the men through this journey - it's too early to tell yet, but this might develop into a season where the women will dominate - not just strategically, as they did up to a point in "Vanuatu", but straight-up physically as well. We'll see. *** out of 4.
