I think that this episode tells a very solid story of the fact that the tribe has grown to respect Clarence over the last three weeks of the game, with his growth as a person and as a player. This respect they now had for him however proved to be his undoing due to the fact that now suddenly people were scared of what damage he was going to do if he had made it to the jury phase. And I think the fatc that his elimination was a vote out of respect rather than a vote out of simply getting their way shows that Clarence was probably one of the first people in Survivor history to actually have a small redemption arc over the course of his season, which I enjoyed a lot.
