First episode with two challenges I believe. Unfortunately they weren't very interesting.

The elimination is again, fairly predictable and unexciting.

At this stage there still doesn't seem to be much strategising going on.

Getting Better

What is there to say? The show is slowly improving in this episode as we get to more tribal relationships. It seems that one tribe is doing well, but the edit can be misleading at times. It is interesting that we get to one of the first times where a player wasn't sure that they were getting voted out, although the audience can once again see it coming. It is obvious and can be hard to see it as anything other than a simple vote off that they didn't see coming. I also know that we actually see the reward challenge in this episode in addition to the immunity challenge as well. It is a good episode, even with some limitations in the edit.

The first controversial elimination of the franchise

I think this episode was the first kind of troublesome vote off. Not even the fact that Stacey went home itself, but the fact that she made that law suit after the episode aired, claiming that there was pressuring among staff to let her go home. Then you have the fact that to be honest, the episodes edit had kind of hinted at either a Rudy or Dirk elimination, which was very misleading. But at the end of the end of the day, she had no real strong alliance, whereas Richard had already created the shield strategy with Rudy, and it worked out perfectly in his favor, and helped started to create his long term path.
