The DVD subtitles contain grossly obvious typos and incorrect transcriptions throughout. For example, "pattern" is frequently transcribed as "patron," and a reference to classic film star "Cary Grant'" is written as "Kari Grant."
This movie was filmed in 2006 and refers to Justin Timberlake, reality TV, the Department of Homeland Security, post-9/11/2001 policies, and other 2000s events. Yet the captions in the first scenes claim that the movie takes place in 1987-1990, when all this could not have existed.
The World Trade Center Twin Towers are missing from the supposed 1987 NYC skyline. Also, the E! channel on the TV couldn't have been there at the time. Even though E! was launched in 1987 (on July 31), it was originally called Movietime and mainly showed movie trailers, doubtfully music videos. When Time Warner company took over Movietime, they renamed it E!: Entertainment Television, on June 1, 1990.
