A fun Kif led episode
Tweekums23 May 2012
Warning: Spoilers
To celebrate Mars Day Amy and the Planet Express crew go to the Wong Ranch to enjoy one of their famous barbecues; here they are joined by Amy's boyfriend Lt. Kif Kroker. Things don't go too well; Amy's parents don't think Kif is good enough for her daughter and he is mocked by a local man who the Wongs think would be better for Amy. Things soon get even worse when, during a dust storm, the Wongs' entire herd of buggalo are stolen. Keen to impress Kif leads the group to find them. It turns out they have been taken by the native Martians who are upset that their ancestors were ripped off when they sold the planet for a bead! They manage to find the buggalo but then the Martians turn up and when they realise Amy is the Wongs' daughter they kidnap her and hold her for ransom. With their daughter held hostage the Wongs call in a real man to get her back... Zapp Brannigan.

This might not be a classic episode but it is still one of my favourites as it gives Kif a chance to take centre stage for a change and his character managed to carry the episode and provide some good laughs; it also shows that he and Amy really do belong together. Other good laughs are provided by Dr, Zoidberg who makes himself a little too at home at the Wongs house. The Martians, clearly based on the depiction of the Indians in early westerns where entertaining characters and it was nice to see them come out on top in the end... even if it was only because they hadn't realised the value of something they had already.

The One With The Mars Cows...

Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoy this episode. It's funny, it's interesting, I love the Mars cows. Everything is just great.

In this episode, Amy's rich parents host their annual Mars Day picnic, and everyone is invited. But the original Martians have different plans for the guests. And the Mars cows, as I call them, are like giant cow-colored bugs, called Buggalo, are so cute. But eventually, bad stuff happens to them. Until Kif comes to the rescue.

Title Gag: Krafted with Luv by Monsters.

Overall, I give this episode an 8 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Awesome
