The tagline for this episode was changed from the usual "The Truth Is Out There" to "Deceive, Inveigle, Obfuscate", a phrase repeated several times throughout the episode.
To appear albino, Willie Amakye's skin underwent several layers of cover-up cream, layers of white powder, and a little pink powder for color. He also wore contacts for the transparent pink eyes. Amakye's hair was dyed orange for post-production special effects to change it back and forth from black and white.
The interior of the jetliner was re-used for a more dramatic effect in the two parter Tempus Fugit (1997) and Max (1997).
In the opening scene, the Boeing 747 has the fictional livery of Trans Global Airlines, this scene is stock footage from "Airport '77".
Trans Global Airlines is the airline used in all of the "Airport" franchise films.
