When Mulder and Scully arrive at Dr Goldstein's office around 29:00 there is a coating of dust and pollen on Mulder's car. Scully runs 2 of her fingers on the rear wind shied and you see the residue clearly. After they leave his office they drive to Mulder's mother's house. Upon arrival at around 32:50 the car looks like it has been washed and waxed to showroom condition.
Mulder takes the car and leaves Scully at his mother's house. The next scene shows Scully arriving at the doctor's office driving the same vehicle. In the very next scene they arrive at the abandoned house, but this time Scully is driven by an officer in a patrol vehicle.
When Scully arrives in Providence, the title card reads "April 12". When Mulder can't recall what day it is, Scully tells him it's Sunday, and the rest of the episode supports the notion that Mulder has been in Rhode Island for two days, since Friday. April 12, 1997 (the year the episode aired) was a Saturday, not a Sunday.
The abandoned house appears overgrown with weeds, but the tire tracks are devoid of any grass as though there has been regular traffic to that house.
The shadow of the a crewman can be seen on the wall after Scully finds a magazine at officer's apartment.
While Scully is walking through the abandoned house, the kitchen is dark. Just prior to Mulder coming downstairs, a sudden light source appears in the room, presumably to light David Duchovny's way into the room.
Boom mic shadow cast on the wall (upper left corner of screen) from approximately 12:54 until Mulder exits screen left at around 13:11.
Mulder calls Scully from Rhode Island at 4:50 A.M. She is presumably at her home near Washington, D.C., approximately 400 miles away. Somehow she manages to arrive at his motel at 6:15 A.M., less then 90 minutes later.
