The Worst Week of My Life is one of these cringe inducing comedies where everything goes wrong for mild mannered Howard Steel.

Howard (Ben Miller) is preparing to marry Mel (Sarah Alexander.) At work he finds the wedding ring, a priceless heirloom goes down a plug hole and a work colleague who he went out with two years ago announces that she is pregnant.

When Howard goes for dinner with his in laws. He cannot stomach the goulash and has a mishap with the toilet flush.

Worse of all Howard ends up in the wrong bed at his in laws house.

It is farce that as hints of Meet the Parents. It was a funny first episode which even paid tribute to The Lord of the Rings.

A hilarious start to a great series.

It's Monday, the week of Howard and Mel's wedding, and he's been entrusted with the wedding ring, a prized family heirloom.

I don't often hand out many ten star scores, but it seems so long since I've watched a sitcom that has made me laugh so much. This first episode had me in tears, this was an absolutely hilarious start.

Terrific acting, a magical script, great timing, and an all round belter of a first episode. Many funny scenes, but the best of all being the one at the toilet, inquire literally spat my food out whilst laughing.

I will be watching this series for the first time in many years, this opener was terrific, 10/10.

The Worst Week Of My Life.....Best Show Ever!!

The Worst Week Of My life is the most hilarious thing ever written!! It is so well done and so magnificently acted. These British comedies put Hollywood to shame. American comedies are so lame next to these fabulously engaging shows. Most are without the annoying, condescending laugh track too...another plus. They don't need to worry and wonder if the audience gets a joke or a funny bit or not. The two writers of TWWOML are atrociously funny, Mark Bussell and Justin Sbresni. They take ordinary activities and turn them into the most wildly funny events. That's the beauty and hilarity in this show....ordinary, mundane occurrences transformed into a puddle of laughter. It's absolutely incredible how they make these characters do the wildest, sickest, funniest things ever on a screen! Best show ever!!!
