SUCCESSFUL END OF SEASON
asalerno1027 July 2022
Steve Trevor and three other war heroes are hired to film a war movie that will portray their heroic deeds on the front lines. They move to Hollywood. The making of this film is actually the screen of a plan put together by its director to kidnap the soldiers one by one and later transfer them to Germany. Wonder Woman receives the collaboration of her sister Drusilla to disrupt the risky plan. To end this successful first season, the production succeeded in summoning Debra Winger once again to play Wonder Girl. Robert Hays plays a shy soldier who has been mistakenly considered a hero but who eventually manages to overcome his fears and bring out his true courage, while Harris Yulin plays the villain.

Lights, camera, Wonder Sisters slow motion running...

Warning: Spoilers
Again this smacks of the cheap and cheerful, "Let's film this on the backlot and not even have to pretend it isn't a movie set". You wonder towards the end of the season was the budget running out? Last appearance of Drusilla (Debra Winger NOT happy in the role by all accounts) and a third different actress playing the Amazon Queen. Great guest cast with Harris Yeulin who'll later be Quentin Travers on Buffy, Robert Hays who'll find fame in the Airplane series and Charles Cyphers who will later become one of John Carpenters rep cast. Dru likes hot-dogs and ice cream which don't seem to exist on Paradise Island (maybe they're not so advanced after all?) Another girly crush from Drusilla, this guy at least not a secret Nazi so that's a step up for her. We also have the infamous WW and Wondergirl running sequence which must have inspired Baywatch. 6/10

Enjoyable episode

Major Steve Trevor is asked to re-enact a heroic deed for Hollywood, and Diana Prince - aka Diana Prince- go along for the ride and senses that there's something wrong. Someone is kidnapping soldiers on set.

An enjoyable episode with Wonder Woman sister Drusilla getting the chance to make that famous spin and help her sister protect the soldier from getting nabbed. Just love episodes set in Hollywood, though it is located in a backlot. A cost cutting exercise.

the last episode with wonder girl

An opportunity for Steve to become a Hollywood star so off to Hollywood, not only that, Drusilla is back to take Diana back to Paradise Island.

A bit of a laugh here and there with all the studio shots, so-called shots. If that was a set then it's a big joke. I did recognize Charles Cypher (Kurt) from Carpenter's Halloween. Funny to see him here, i met him once at a convention...

The first part Drusilla is still Drusilla, look close, it's the last time she did Wonder Girl, a thing Debra hated the most.

But the heroes of the movie are being captured. First they think they all went out with the girls but not so. Are the Germans involved, out for Steve and wonder woman to find out. Meanwhile Drusilla is hanging out and has her wonder girl moment too. The last 7 minutes are a must see as wonder woman and wonder girl are running together to save everybody.
