Graham Dowling (Alan William) is the number one suspect for the police. A security guard who has shown an unhealthy interest in Amanda Vance.
He also knows that Amanda has been cheating on her husband. She has been having a lesbian affair with her personal assistant. She is later found dead much to Amanda's horror.
More importantly, the police find a link between the murdered young women and the Vances. Those who went missing, later found dead or are presumed dead, went to see the Vances when they do personal appearances.
A young man called Jason (Kenny Doughty) who works for the Vances also becomes a suspect when another young woman is reported missing.
There is a race against time element once again. Like the first story, someone is in great peril unless the killer is caught in time.
Given the psychological edge to this show. Maybe it was no surprise just who the baddie is. I did groan that somehow the two disparate stories were linked all along.
It turns out that the TV celebrity with a lust for the dark side was inspired by Jimmy Savile. Author Val McDermid felt uneasy when she met him while a journalist back in the 1970s.
