A ten year old boy is killed and placed symbolically, soon after another boy is killed, with Carol Jordan hospitalised after being mugged, Kevin takes the lead.
First off, the title, Redemption, I think it fits perfectly, it really is the most harrowing and dark episode of Wire in The Blood, and that's saying something, from the very opening moments, you know this is going to provide some tough content.
One of the most memorable episodes, the acting and production values are on point, but it's the story itself, and the shocking, unexpected twist, an outcome I certainly didn't expect.
It is a tough watch, it always is when children are the victims of crime. Once again I'm reminded just how much darker television was back in the early 2000's they got away with so much more.
Carol's absence changes the dynamic up a bit, it's like the lunatics have taken over at the asylum, teacher is absent.
9/10.
