A young couple are killed in their flat, a young woman, Sarah Maynard is also killed in a similar way, Tony believes released and reformed serial killer, Mack The Knife is to blame.
It's a good episode, a cracking storyline, with some interesting characters, and a great central villain in Thompson. One thing that always struck me was just how macabre and grizzly this show was, quite explicit, they got away with so much more back then.
A great episode for Carol Jordan, she really is central to events, you really do feel her pain and trauma, Norris was excellent.
It's nice to see Tony actually doing his day job, and a bit of lecturing for a change, you wonder when he finds the time.
I thought Daragh O'Malley was absolutely fantastic here as the villain of the piece, Michael Thompson, he's another actor with a velvet toned voice, he's excellent.
Very watchable, 8/10.
