Jason Bernard plays Principal Willis in this, the pilot episode. Ed Bernard (no relation) would play him for the first two seasons.
Team nerd Abner Goldstein is different in the pilot, more one-of-the-guys, and the VP actually describes him as a future "Baby Fae Nelson" as in, a gangster, far from the Goldstein we'd later know.
The opening song is intact but it plays with a shot of Reeves and Willis shaking hands in the empty Chicago Bulls arena. The next episode has the opening credits as usual.
Thomas Carter gets the only credit after the three adults; no other team members, and Carter's a Special Guest. The actor didn't like that later in the series he didn't have more screen-time, and eventually, by season 2, he didn't do all episodes, and wanted to direct. By the next episode, Hayward and Thorpe (Kevin Hooks) were the only ones credited. By season two the entire team is credited.
