Tom Ballard is placed in Bayview by his family, after encountering the irritating staff, he meets Diana Trent, his new neighbour. Tom is a beacon of positive energy, Diana is the reverse.
It's a wonderful start, it sets the scene, and introduces us to the residents of Bayview. Tom is slightly eccentric, and seems to be getting shoved in there by his dreadful daughter in law. The script is fantastic, the one liners are terrific, very cutting, but best of all is the delivery, superb.
Crowden is wonderfully dry and physically very funny, his delivery is magical, couple that with Cole's frosty, sarcasm and equal brilliance, this is going to be a riot. The quality is evident from the first. 8/10
