By far one of the funniest episodes of the series
libertyinprogress3 December 2019
Jon Cryer's willingness to portray himself as injured, in the most uncomfortable way possible, makes this episode absolutely hilarious.

While the other storyline in the episode isn't nearly as funny (but entertaining, nevertheless), it still keeps does enough to make it one of my favorites.

one of the best

This is one of my absolute favorites , but it's all because of Jake's attitude, and somewhat because of Charlie's response . Jon's character was overreacting, lame, childish , and pretty much not funny at all, unless you are a child and your bar for comedy is very low. But all of this is compensated by Jake and Charlie, who are just hilarious throughout the whole episode.

A sharply written episode

Back in its early days 'Two and a Half Men' was a well written sitcom that found the balance between heart and more adult jokes. This axis got seriously knocked out of whack as the years went on.

The strength of the show in these early years was the chemistry between Charlie and Jake, and this episode really highlights that. There is also some good opportunities for Jon Cryer to demonstrate what a good physical comedian he is.

People say that Angus T Jones was the breakout star of this show, but if anything it really elevated Jon Cryer too.

When it was good, this show was very good.

Spoilers....This is the episode where I began to hate

Warning: Spoilers
Hate that little creep Jake. Overall I have given the series with CHARLIE in it a 10. BUT ever so often there are episodes where the brat pushes the wrong buttons. And when he was younger in the first two seasons his attitude was "cute" but by the 5th season that had worn off big time and this episode was a hint of what was to come.

NO parent would ever put up with the BS this brat pulled in this episode.

Charlie's character was obviously not allowed to do what this brat needed and that was either a 6 month banishment from the house ("if you want to see your kid you are going to have to get a hotel room or some other accommodation") or a permanent banishment. This constantly apologizing to HIM for his being a total jerk is wrong.

Nothing the little so and so did was remotely funny. He constantly back talked and was a total obnoxious jackhole. They say you should not ever smack your kid. In this episode the kid needed to be either put over someone's knee or smacked in the face ever time he said the things he was saying.

He came across in this episode as a spoiled little monster. And if it had been me and every one I know who watched this episode...the kid would have been either permanently banned or at least half a year.

I am being very polite in my language because in the real world my language used to describe this brat would be as blue as blue can be.

Was one of the least funny episodes they had until he turned into a teenager and then he should have been booted off the show and bring in another young 10 year old. Older Jake was obnoxious beyond all sane rationale.

I loved the show but they kept making Jake obnoxious and trying to make that funny. It got old fast.
