- Peter Craig: All right, my little friends... Today begins a new age, the age of Peter Craig. Time to build the statue again... And there will be reminders that you must not anger me; we must have discipline, after all.
- [opening narration]
- Narrator: The time is the space age, the place is a barren landscape of a rock-walled canyon that lies millions of miles from the planet Earth. The cast of characters? You've met them: William Fletcher, commander of the spaceship; his co-pilot, Peter Craig. The other characters who inhabit this place you may never see, but they're there, as these two gentlemen will soon find out. Because they're about to partake in a little exploration into that gray, shaded area in space and time that's known as The Twilight Zone.
- [closing narration]
- Narrator: The case of navigator Peter Craig, a victim of a delusion. In this case, the dream dies a little harder than the man. A small exercise in space psychology that you can try on for size - in the Twilight Zone.
- Cmdr. William Fletcher: [knocking out Craig after he terrorized the little people] You're no God, Craig! That's not what you are at all! The only trouble is that... by now you've gotten them to believe in the Devil.
- Cmdr. William Fletcher: [upon seeing the little people's monument to Craig] ... They sure picked themselves a corker of a deity. Too bad they don't know more about who they're breaking their backs for.
- Navigator Peter Craig: Meaning...?
- Cmdr. William Fletcher: Meaning they're worshiping an ill-bred bully, whose insides are made out of the same stuff as that statue! Oh, it's a good likeness, all right; and, after we blast off, they can sell it for junk! Who knows? Somewhere down the line, when they realize I'm the one who rid them of you, they might even build a monument to me...!
- [he notices that Craig has pulled a gun on him]
- Navigator Peter Craig: This one you'll have to navigate on your own, Mister Fletcher.
- Cmdr. William Fletcher: Looks like I didn't give you enough credit, Mister Craig.
- [seeing the two giant astronauts approaching]
- Peter Craig: GO AWAY! YOU CAN'T STAY HERE! GO AWAY! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND? I'M THE GOD! I'M THE GOD, DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND? I'M THE GOD!
