In this episode, the Allies are worried because the Germans have come up with a new and improved radar system. So they plan on doing a commando raid to try to capture the radar equipment...with fighter planes and bombers supporting the raid. There are two problems. First, the commando leader, Captain Deel (Harry Guardino) is a real jerk and Colonel Gallagher has had personal dealings with him....and he has to put his hatred of Deel aside for the good of the mission. The second problem is that there is a spy about who also might jeopardize the mission, as he's relaying info to the Germans.
This is a pretty good episode and there was only one part that didn't ring true. During the raid, Colonel Gallagher flies a P-51 fighter. Bomber pilots did not just hop into fighter planes (and vice-versa) since they were so different. Perhaps a colonel could have flown both...but he wouldn't have been very good at flying a type plane that he wasn't trained to fly. It would be akin to having a motorcycle driver try his hand at driving an 18-wheeler or a boat.
