Donna's diary is voiced by Nick Bakay, most notably known as the voice of 'Salem the Cat' from 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch'. Nick Bakay also appeared in S1E13 ('Ski Trip') as Gus, the truck driver who picked up Kelso when he hitch-hiked after being left behind by the gang. Other 'Sabrina' guest stars include Melissa Joan Hart and Lindsay Sloane, who both appeared in S2E9 ('Eric Gets Suspended') as the blind dates of Fez and Hyde. Lindsay Sloane made another appearance in S2E18, reprising her role as Patty, as Fez's first girlfriend.
Donna's room is seen for the first time.
Although the Christmas episode, "Hyde's Christmas Rager", was much earlier this season, this is the first episode to show a 1978 validation sticker on the license plate.
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis was President John F. Kennedy's wife and was widowed upon his assassination in Dallas, Texas while riding alongside him in their car through Dealey Plaza in 1963. She remarried, to Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis, in 1968.
The voice over saying, "...which is like Woodstock, but for vans" is referencing the season 2 episode, "Vanstock".
