"The Human Barrier" is a good teleplay that certainly is NOT for everyone. If you are an airplane buff or Air Force vet, you'll likely really appreciate it...others will probably find it dry...and the two interruptions by John Cameron Swayze and the General unwelcome.
Skip Homeier plays Captain Lipton, the test pilot who survives a crash in a new jet fighter. Like any such accident, the Air Force and civilians who made the craft are intent on finding out if pilot error or problems with the plan itself were responsible...and Captain Lipton's brief amnesia following the crash don't help any.
The film is well acted and interesting...but as I said above, the appeal is limited. Plus, it sure did not help including what were essentially pro Air Force pep talks in the show...which made it seem more like propaganda (albeit positive propaganda). Still, despite everything, it's worth your time.
