- Teal'c: The crew appears to have abandoned ship, General Hammond.
- Major General George Hammond: That's good news. I don't mind telling you we've all been holding our breath down here.
- Teal'c: That is most unwise.
- Major General George Hammond: [smiles] Yes, of course, Teal'c.
- Jacob Carter: By who?
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: It's whom.
- Major Samantha Carter: Actually, sir, it's more like what.
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: What?
- Jonas Quinn: Those of us who are not originally from the planet Earth gotta stick together, right?
- Teal'c: Are you suggesting an alien conspiracy?
- Jacob Carter: Jack, are you seriously considering salvaging this ship?
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: Why, yes, I am, Jacob.
- Jacob Carter: This ship belonged to Anubis.
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: Excellent!
- Jacob Carter: What if it's some sort of Trojan Horse?
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: Well, then, apparently, they did it wrong.
- Jacob Carter: Look, Jack. None of this makes any sense, so before you go slapping a US Air Force sticker on the side of this ship...
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: Oh, will you stop? Obviously we gotta check things out around here, to see what happened before we do anything.
- Jacob Carter: And find out what the hell it's doing in Earth orbit.
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: But our standing orders are to recover technology that can help us defend against the Goa'uld. I'd say this ship falls under that heading, wouldn't you?
- Jacob Carter: Okay.
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: Thank you.
- Jacob Carter: You know, sometimes I get a little concerned that you're gonna get my favorite planet wiped out.
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: Yes. What planet is that?
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: Next time we crash our brand new mothership, what do you say we do it in the tropics?
- Major Samantha Carter: Actually, Sir, it wouldn't make a difference. At this depth, all water is ice cold.
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: Shallower water, then! Shallower.
- Major Samantha Carter: Yes, Sir. I'll keep that in mind.
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: Or we could just not crash at all. It would be nice to keep our nice new mothership more than a couple of hours.
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: [urging Jacob Carter to hurry and get the door open where he and Carter are being flooded] How long is it going to take? I'm looking at some major shrinkage here.
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: What are you smiling at?
- Jonas Quinn: Well, it's just that it's my first time. In space.
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: Ah.
- Jonas Quinn: We'd only begun to consider the possibility of space travel. To actually be out here is... it's amazing.
- Teal'c: Indeed.
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: Until something goes horribly wrong.
