- With the death of Omoc, the subsequent sudden Tollan reconsideration of their tech embargo leads to SG-1 suspecting a government conspiracy.
- After the death of Omoc, the Tollan assert that they are now ready to trade technology with the Tau'ri. Negotiations go smoothly, a little too smoothly. SG-1, with the assistance of Narim, investigate the death of Omoc and the Curia's deception of the Tollan people.—trekkie4christ
- SG-1 is surprised to be invited to the least-friendly Tollan Omoc's funeral. They are startled to get an invitation for a meeting with High Chancellor Travell and a secret warning from Sam's admirer Narim, who is even more astonished the proposal is for the Tau'ri to supply trinium in exchange for the ion canon earth was always denied as too primitive to be trusted with such advanced technology. Narim discloses his suspicions to Omoc's will executor that the conservative Curia member was murdered, which SG-1 helps him prove, as part of a far bigger, 'unimaginable' plot within the ruling Curia (planetary cabinet) to push through the deal he opposed. Finding out why is the greatest shock of all: a sinister conspiracy involving Apophis's surviving Goa'uld, Lieutenant Tanith.—KGF Vissers
- The SG-1 team travel to Tollana to attend Councilor Omoc's funeral service. They're surprised when the Tollan leader suggests they are open to providing Earth with advanced weaponry, something they had previously refused to do. Before he died, however, Omoc left them a message saying that the Earth was in great danger. The Tollan need trinium and offer an ion cannon in return. Samantha's friend Narim is opposed to the exchange, and both O'Neill and Jackson find the negotiations to be a tad too easy. They learn the Tollan Curia has been forced to cooperate with the Goa'uld Tanith to produce a new type of weapon - one that would in all likelihood be used against Earth.—garykmcd
- The SG-1 is invited to the intimate funeral of the Tollan Omoc that died of a heart attack. At the end of the ceremony, High Chancellor Travell invites Colonel Jack to return to discuss the trade of technology. However, Narim secretly delivers a message to Samantha telling that Earth is in danger. They return, and Travell proposes the trade of one Tollan cannon for the mineral Trinium that is exhausted in Tollana. Samantha concludes that it would be necessary to have thirty-eight cannons to protect Earth from the Goa'uld. On the next day, the SG-1 returns to Tollana and Narim discloses that he suspects that Omoc was murdered in a huge conspiracy from Travell and the Curia. The SG-1, together with Narim, decide to investigate and they have a huge surprise.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
