- SPOILERS Patrick McCann, the leader of an Irish splinter group walks into a safe house and insists that he has crucial information for MI5 concerning their investigation on an Middle East terrorist group called Asabiyah. To share in-depth information on Asabiyah's plan to hit a British nuclear power station with MI5, McCann requests that his group goes unwatched for 30 hours. Despite doubts about this collaboration, McCann's splinter group is granted their request of not being watched for 30 hours. It then becomes evident, however, that McCann has planned to release a bomb on one of London's stations which can be repelled by MI5 just in time. In the meantime, things get more serious between Ellie and Tom as she and her daughter Maisie move into Tom's house. When Tom brings his laptop to his home, he realizes too late that it is set up with a bomb and Ellie and Maisie are in great danger.—R
- There is division among the MI-5 team when they are approached by a senior IRA commander, Patrick McCann. He informs Tom that if the authorities will stop watching them for 36 hours, he will provide them with very important information. Tom agrees and learns that a shadowy and little-known Middle East terrorist group is planning an attack on the Sefton B nuclear plant. They may have made a deal with the devil however when it becomes apparent that the IRA plans to bomb a train station during the blackout period. Zoe finally tells Harry Pearce that Tessa has created a network of fictitious agents and is pocketing their payouts. He has information about a potential Middle Eastern terrorist threat to a nuclear power station but in return demands MI-5 cease monitoring his group for 30 hours. This leaves the UK open to attack from his group. Most senior MI-5 personnel realise that the Middle Eastern attack is the greater threat and are willing to take the chance.
