Peter Firth: Harry Pearce
Quotes
-
Harry Pearce : Ruth, whatever you do in your spare time is entirely your business, as long as it doesn't cross over with our business.
Ruth Evershed : I understand.
Harry Pearce : I'm sure you do.
Ruth Evershed : I mean, we can't let that sort of thing get in the way of work, can we?
Harry Pearce : Of course we can't.
-
Sam Buxton : I don't like this one bit.
Harry Pearce : Yes, you do. And it's exactly why I asked you to look into Ruth for me. What did she tell you?
Sam Buxton : I caught up with her in the computer room. She's been reading Source Karl transcripts. I get the feeling she's been doing it for a while. I asked her about removing them from the building and she more or less confessed straight off the bat.
Harry Pearce : You didn't confront her, did you?
Sam Buxton : God, no, I was playing around. She's not got a clue we're on to her.
Harry Pearce : What's your assessment?
Sam Buxton : I think she's really fallen for him.
Harry Pearce : [laughs] Oh, Ruth. Well, just keep watching her for now.
-
Adam Carter : Okay, well Danny and Zoe should play scarecrow, pay Newland a visit, warn him off the idea in the strongest possible terms.
[to Ruth]
Adam Carter : What's wrong with that idea?
Ruth Evershed : Well, the two people you're suggesting for it.
Adam Carter : We've never had any problem tasking them before.
Ruth Evershed : Zoe and Danny together? At the moment, they're so entwined in each other's personal lives, a mission together could be fractious.
Harry Pearce : Nice bit of tension. Keeps the nerves working.
