In this episode, the Mayor's divorce has just become final and to everyone's surprise the Mayor has been seen around town with a younger woman named Jennifer. Mike knows that if the press gets knowledge of the romance, that it will be bad for the Mayor since the divorce just became final. Word will start spreading that it was the new woman the broke up the marriage. But things get weird when Jennifer shows up at Mike's door wanting more than just advise.
Also in this episode is the continuing story of Mike and Laurie's relationship. Last episode we learned that Mike is wanting to get serious- while Laurie is wanting just to have fun. Things take a sudden turn when Laurie walks in while Jennifer is in Mike's apartment. It looks like things will never be the same.
The story of the Mayor's relationship was enjoyable. Maybe the younger people will not get the writing, but Barry Bostwick had some funny lines when they are together near the end of the show. Another good show.
