Great Gory Halloween episode
gangstahippie24 September 2008
There have been a bunch of Christmas episodes of South Park but only four Halloween episodes come to mind.Pinkeye is the first Halloween episode of South Park.I think its great! It's fairly funny and has lots of gore with the South Park kids killing zombies! Basically it's Halloween in South Park, a space shuttle kills Kenny and he is sent to the morgue. There after a drainage gone wrong, he becomes a zombie and bites the two people at the morgue, they then go on to bite people and pretty soon, most of the town becomes zombies.Though they mistake it for Pinkeye.Meanwhile, Kyle is dressed as Chewbacca, Cartman as Hitler and Stan as Raggedy Andy.Stan dresses like that so Wendy will dress as Raggedy Ann and they can enter the costume contest together where the first prize is a lot of candy.Wendy dresses as Chewbacca instead and Stan gets ridiculed by everyone.Cartman gets in trouble for his Hitler costume and the principal makes a ghost costume for him(only it looks like a Klansman). They go trick or treating but everyone is a zombie, so with the help of Chef, they must find a way to turn everybody back to normal.Pinkeye is a great Halloween South Park episode!

Pinkeye (#1.7)

Warning: Spoilers
Now we get some Halloween in South Park. Kenny gets to die right in the beginning of the episode and then comes back as a zombie infecting everyone in town and starting a zombie epidemic.

One of my favorite parts of the episode was Cartman in his Hitler costume and how the replacement the school teacher gave him looked like a KKK robe. He was pretty hilarious in it including squealing like a little pig.

Another outstanding character in it was Chef who was the first one to figure out it is all about zombies and went to fight them. Also it was great how after he turned into a zombie he seemed to have become Michael Jackson

My first South Park episode
Rectangular_businessman29 January 2020
This episode was the very first time when I had the chance of seeing South Park: I was still a kid back then, but i immediately loved it: It was so radically different to any other cartoon I had seen before, being far wackier and far more unpredictable than series like The Simpsons or The Critic (The only "adult" cartoons I had the chance to see prior to this)

And while the humor of those early episode might seem a little bit too "simple" in comparison of the satirical elements of later episodes, I think those episodes are still fun to watch, having a certain surreal charm which sadly the series seem to lack nowadays.

Don't ever embalm somebody with Worchestershire Sauce
AlsExGal28 June 2016
Although there is something about current events or references to pop culture in every episode, I think South Park was best in these early seasons before it went down the road of Law & Order and every episode became "ripped from the headlines" complete with a preachy message. This first Halloween episode is great where apparently it is discovered that accidentally embalming someone with Worcestorshire sauce causes them to become brain eating zombies as in "Night of the Living Dead". Local physicians examine the zombies and notice they have no pulse, no blood pressure, and puffy eyes. They diagnose the zombies with pink eye and prescribe eye drops. Chef becomes a zombie and does an imitation of Michael Jackson in "Thriller", and Stan faces the ultimate conundrum when his beloved Wendy becomes a zombie herself and is coming right for him. Will he be able to kill her with his chainsaw or will he just stand there and let her bite him? Or is there some other way out? Watch and find out.

Parker and Stone were unhappy with this early episode, but it got a great deal of positive feedback, even with the bit about Cartman wearing a Hitler Halloween costume to school, and, in her first appearance, Principal Victoria putting a bed sheet over him in an attempt to make him look like a ghost. Instead he resembles a member of the Ku Klux Klan and frightens Chef (the voice of the late Isaac Hayes).

By this time most viewers "got" that South Park was not a show about foul mouthed little boys, it was just using them as a front for a combination of broad slap stick, parody, and making fun of political correctness.

South Park of the Dead
hellraiser72 June 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Warning do not read unless seen episode.

This is another of my favorite episodes, it was one of the shows first Halloween episodes and it's one of the best, it's one of my favorite Halloween episodes in general. It's a basic zombie plotline but what makes it really funny is in what the characters do under the circumstances.

One highlight of course is seeing Cartman in an Adolf Hitler costume. When I saw him wearing that I thought OMG, once again shows this kid has no moral qualms and how big his bigoted streak knows no bounds; though in his defense he probably doesn't know much about World War 2. It's funny when he is watching that PSA video his reaction which is of admiration, though what's really funny about that video is it has a Smokey the bear like mascot and his slogan just cracks me up, "Dressing up as Hitler isn't cool" it makes me wonder how often does that happen in South Park. And then Cartman's case is made even worse when we see the principal puts him in another costume to be a ghost but inadvertently makes Cartman into a Klansman. That just made me laugh harder even liked seeing Chief's reaction which was priceless.

Chief as usual is great, really like that he's in an Evol Kieval costume, as usual he exercises common sense. He has two comic silver moments, from one when he's in the doctor's office he tries finding out about the cause of the zombies but also demonstrating the existence of one, when he pulls out the arm of the doctor's patient whom unfortunately wasn't a zombie. That just cracked me up but show that Chief kind of has super strength to be able to do that. But the other was when he becomes a zombie and then does a parody of the "Thriller" music video, I'll admit Issacs's version of it was really cool.

Really like the zombie battle near the end which was cool as we see both Cartman and Stan are just going to town with the zombies with the chainsaws. Just left and right slicing and dicing off heads and limbs, guts flying all over the place, it's just gory mayhem. There is of course another sweet moment with Stan and Wendy. Wendy, we see has became a zombie and Stan is almost tempted to do her in. But he doesn't do it, sure what Wendy did was uncool, but it doesn't justify lethal action, and Stan's feelings for Wendy are strong so he's willing to forgive her.

This episode is contagious with fun.

First Halloween episode
injury-654472 June 2020
It's a fun idea, Worcestershire Sauce zombies. However it's not as intelligent or creative or clever as the previous few episodes. Just a fun Halloween tie-in.

Zombies are a done to death idea after all. But it's fun to see the South Park spin on the concept.

Kenny dies multiple times.

The various costumes are hilarious- I love Stan's Raggedy Andy!

South Park's 1st Halloween episode
Nolamoviedude11 February 2019
The show starts off with Kenny getting killed right away and becoming a zombie. He then meets his friends at the bus stop where Kyle is dressed as Chewbacca (so is the entire rest of the school). Stan is Raggedy Andy (apart of a supposed couples costume with Wendy) and Cartman is Hitler! It's laugh out loud funny. They get to school where their teach Mr Garrison is dressed as Marilyn Monroe, and Cartman is sent to the principal's office for his costume. The principal decides to make him a ghost costume but he comes out looking like a KKK member. Zombie's (the town thinks they all have pink eye) overtake the town until Chef and company kill all the zombies.

Zambies?
RicketyCricketImposter13 December 2021
Cartman hates Jews, that's becoming apparent. Mr. Garrison sexuality is slipping, I wonder what that will turn into? Only time will tell. Just like the rest of the season it's not a bad episode. Not amazing, still not over and 8, but it holds up. 7.4.
