A relief to return to South Park after the season premiere
SLionsCricketreviews9 September 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I have far less to say on this episode, "Cartman's Mom is Still a Dirty Slut" than the previous one. It is the concluding chapter in the two episode arc that answers the question as to who Cartman's father is and the reveal is a wholly satisfying one.

While some moments in the episode did not quite land for me, as far as the humour was concerned, and while some of the recurring gags like the 'Was it Officer Barbrady?....' one felt tired by the end.

It is a mostly entertaining episode. The storyline is split between Cartman and co rushing the genetic engineer to the hospital after he is shot moments before announcing Cartman's father. They get to the sinfully understaffed hospital and realize they're snowed in. Meanwhile, an America's Most Wanted filming crew are dispatched to South Park and attempt to film an enactment of the engineer being shot to answer the "whodunit". The townsfolk gather for the filming of the special when they too realize they're snowed in and slowly resort to cannibalism to keep themselves alive.

While I still consider "Pinkeye" [1x07] to be the highlight so far in the series, this is a fine episode and a great follow-up to the first season finale. It also has a very amusing line towards the end of the episode regarding the Terence and Phillip special, clearly Stone & Trey's voice coming through.

Cartman's Mom is Still a Dirty Slut (#2.2)

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is by far better than the previous one. Which is of course not hard at all as it was total garbage. But by usual South Park standards it is still pretty weak.

There were just too many moments that were a bit boring, tedious and annoying. Like the whole old detective show moments where they ask a question and give you 3 answers...

I did love though the part of Eric's mom trying to get an abortion, although as we found out later it was not exactly what she meant. The answer of who is Eric's dad was pretty absurd and therefore a very good one.

Conclusion to the Cartman's mom question(mediocre episode)
gangstahippie1 October 2008
This is the conclusion to the two-part episodes where we find out who Cartman's father is.The first part was a great episode, but this one was not all that great. It just was not as funny as the other South Park episodes and some parts were just plain annoying. The scientist is about to tell who Cartman's father is when someone turns off the lights and shoots him. They then have to rush him to a hospital during a snowstorm which results in a blackout.Meanwhile America's Most Wanted wants to do a re-inactment of the shooting, but they all get trapped during the storm and the townspeople end up turning to cannibalism. In the end we find our answer and it's pretty shocking. It's alright but one of the more mediocre episodes of South Park.

So bad it's brilliant!

After receiving angry letters from viewers who threatened to never watch South Park again after the Terrance and Phillip special, this is what they came up with to satisfy their curiosity.. I'm laughing uncontrollably just thinking about it. This is classic South Park at it's absolute best!!.. Or worst. Depending on how you look at it.

The sequel neuter than the original

Warning: Spoilers
This one has all the good qualities of the original with way more great bits. The narrator teasing mundane things, the America's most wanted audition, and cartman s mom sleeping her way to the top to try and abort cartman, only to have meant adoption, the cannibalism All get me every time. Kenny's moment connecting the generator sacrificing his life is genuinely very heartwarming to me.

I like this episode a lot. Some funny little things happen here and there and overall I laugh as I watch, I truly do. Cartman's mom is some sort of mythical sex creature (right?) and Cartman's dad is actually a little bit confused. 8.2.
