Reckless and Bold
claudio_carvalho29 April 2006
During a rave party in the underground Kawatche caves discovered by the Indian descendant Kyla Willowbrook , the student Travis has a reckless attitude climbing a lamp tower and dies. Pete Ross is pierced by a parasite, becoming reckless and bold. Lex Luthor hires the linguistic specialist Dr. Fredrick Walden (Rob LaBelle) to decipher the meaning of the paintings in the cave. Clark invites Lana Lang to date on the next evening. Later, Clark Kent goes with Chloe Sullivan to the cave, and she is also pierced, changing immediately her behavior. When Pete puts a red kryptonite in the pocket of Clark, the trio makes lots of mess in Smallville and hurts the feelings of Lana.

"Rush" is another great episode of Smallville. In this episode, Clark Kent finally invites Lana Lang to date, but the reason for the failure of the scheduled date is not compatible with the situation and problems of Pete and Chloe. Lana is not reasonable with her attitude. My vote is nine.

This Episode Is Just Show A 'What If'-Nothing Bad At All
ChrisDurran21 December 2007
I have to say this is just getting into the drama side of the the series. Its just a urge thought of if Clark lost his identity and when the relationships with his friends go bad. You'll enjoy it.Ever wanted to see what would happen if Lana saw Clark swapping spit with Chloe? Here it is.You can't expect to just say 'Gimme More' of the superpowers he has all the time-he has a life and and it was not all about fist punching, eye burning, flash running and more to what I'm about to say all the time. You will enjoy this. And you'll feel sorry for Clark if you watch and listen closely. He had a love life and tries balance it between that and his secret-now you'll see it when one simple date goes wrong.Enjoy Enough said.

Back to the good old monster of the week...

Warning: Spoilers
Suspect is fine, but completely irrelevant. Rush is just like Nicodemus last season. A fun filler episode where good characters get wild, and has a soundtrack packed with pop music. Including two more tracks from the official soundtrack, on two key scenes. There's a lot of similarities with season one episodes actually. Lex seeks the help of another scientific, to further his own research. His interactions with Clark are like blasts from the past, too. Trading sheet metal rumple with cave drawings. And Clark's relationship with Lana, is back to early episodes angst. It's nothing groundbreaking, but as someone who loves season one, it's always a pleasure to go back to that format. How many times is Chloe planning on wearing this frilly red top?...

A very weak and pointless episode
Rcwilkinson12319 September 2007
Through six season, 'Rush' is the weakest work of the 'Smallville' crew. The plot had absolutely no meaning or purpose, and was pointless and uncreative. Apparently the writers did not have their thinking caps on for that week, because all they resorted to for this episode was sexual material.

After the opening scene, where it is learned that there is a parasite making people go crazy in the caves, the show has no point. It's just useless garbage of Pete going wild, Chloe going wild, and Clark going wild after Pete slips the alien red mineral into his pocket. An absolutely stupid episode.
