Kari Wuhrer: Maggie Beckett
Quotes
-
Colin Mallory : You will not believe what I just saw!
Rembrandt 'Crying Man' Brown : Hey man I told you that spray-on hair doesn't work.
[laughs]
Colin Mallory : There was someone in our room!
Maggie Beckett : What? What're you talking about?
Colin Mallory : Uh, a boy, only he wasn't really there, he appeared. He grabbed the TV thingie and walked through a closed door like some kind of, of... non-corporeal shade.
Maggie Beckett : Are you saying you saw a ghost?
Colin Mallory : I don't know. Maybe.
Quinn Mallory : Colin, what were you watching on TV?
Colin Mallory : A... a movie about a medical pioneer. He created a living creature by stitching together parts of corpses. Man... then towards the end I gather it got a little out of hand.
Rembrandt 'Crying Man' Brown : That sounds like Frankenstein.
Colin Mallory : That's him!
-
Quinn Mallory : There is nothing strange going on here except a bunch of tired people in an old hotel with a Boris Karloff marathon on cable.
Rembrandt 'Crying Man' Brown : [he and Maggie come charging into the room talking over each other] I was shaving in the bathroom and something wrote 'Help us' on the mirror!
Maggie Beckett : There's a head in the icebox, and it had my face!
Rembrandt 'Crying Man' Brown : This place is haunted.
[Colin smirks at Quinn knowingly]
Maggie Beckett : Come on! Come on, Colin. I swear, I'm not kidding you, there was a head in the icebox and it looked just like me.
[as they leave, a mug of beer levitates off the table]
-
Maggie Beckett : In there.
Colin Mallory : Did it look like you?
Maggie Beckett : Well it was a little frosty, but yeah.
[the men look in the ice machine]
Maggie Beckett : Well?
Quinn Mallory : Take a look.
[Maggie peers in, sees only ice]
Maggie Beckett : [walks away] Okay, there was a head in the icebox, and it looked just like me.
Quinn Mallory : [grabs her by the back of the head] Well since yours seems to be firmly attached, I really would not sweat it.
Maggie Beckett : Okay don't you blow me off. I know a disembodied head when I see one.
Colin Mallory : I believe you.
Rembrandt 'Crying Man' Brown : I *know* I believe her.
-
Rembrandt 'Crying Man' Brown : [Maggie is hysterical about being locked in the basement with rats] Hey girl, I thought you were in the Marines.
Maggie Beckett : Well I don't like rats!
-
Capt. Maggie Beckett : I don't have a problem with two men dancing together.
Rembrandt 'Crying Man' Brown : Me either. If the guy asked me...
Colin Mallory : Wait, I'm confused, those were men? But they looked like women.
Rembrandt 'Crying Man' Brown : ...Some guys just like to dress like women. It's... well it's kind of a lifestyle thing.
Capt. Maggie Beckett : Yeah... it makes them feel... pretty.
Colin Mallory : Well they *were* pretty.
-
Holly : Didn't you see the weather report?
Maggie Beckett : [cynically] Oh I'm sorry, we must've missed it!
Holly : Oh, you must be from out of town.
Colin Mallory : We're from Canada.
Holly : [nods] Well, we, never go out without checking the weather.
-
Holly : Okay, it's not really the off season. Well no, actually every day around here is the off season. The hotel is haunted.
Quinn Mallory : [laughs] Come on, what's really going on?
[a bar stool pulls itself up behind him and forces him to sit on it]
Holly : It's haunted. You know, boo, bumps in the night, blood curdling screams, the whole ball of wax. Disembodied heads in the ice machine don't exactly make five star ratings.
Maggie Beckett : [to Quinn] I told you!
