I really love this episode, it really rocks my socks off, even though there are some problems with it. PROS: It has the Haldane from Space Precinct 2040 in it, one of the great misunderstood sci fi shows of the 20th century; It completely rips off Tremors for the most part, eg, giant worm thing; It features people who never got old. CONS: It has the Haldane from Space Precinct 2040 in it; It completely rips off Tremors for the most part, eg, giant worm thing; It features people who never get old as a result of eating freaky worm ass-goo. This episode pretty much sums up Sliders for me: great characterisation of the main characters, somewhat 1 dimensional supporting cast with dodgy acting skills, and a storyline that rocks, but evidently wasn't thought through properly. It's still the most entertaining episode for me personally - it's like having Hulk Hogan wrestle an imaginary bear in your living room.

The Gift
NickBOKC1 February 2022
The group lands on a coastal town that has a special secret. This secret lives underground, and they will do anything to protect what they've created for themselves. The group must find out what is going on in this seemingly idyllic town. It was great to see guest star Will Schaub as Parker the hot restaurant owner who shows an interest in Wade. This episode was unexpected, and I enjoyed the twists involving the professor and Trudy, the wheelchair bound granny. What is the gift the townspeople have been given, and what is the price for this gift? Watch and find out!
