Welcome comic relief

Warning: Spoilers
I have to say this season was starting to get me down, and I was so happy to finally get an episode with a lot of humor in it (at least during the first half). So far this season, Nate just seemed dead inside, a shadow of his former self, and I've been questioning why David was putting up with so much negativity coming from Keith. And it has been disappointing seeing the narrow-mindedness of Rico, a character I had found endearing, even with his aversion to homosexuality. I was surprised at his lack of compassion with the family of the office shooter and his inability to comfort a grieving wife. His personality just seemed warmer than that. The paint ball storyline was fabulous, finally seeing David & Keith have some childlike fun, as was Ruth & Arthur's early scenes and the cheese-eating "Children of the Corn." Even as Ruth & Arthur's scenes became less humorous, I did like the sweet reverse Harold & Maude-ness of their relationship.

Everyday We Must Dance

Warning: Spoilers
When Daddy dies in a family where their rules are written in "Daddy's Book", his five concubines hire the Fisher & Diaz funeral services, but with the condition that the embalming process should be witnessed by each wife in shifts. Meanwhile, Vanessa misses and grieves her mother and has been visiting her tomb in the graveyard every Sunday for four months, neglecting her sons and her house. Ruth has a huge crush on Arthur and kisses him. David and Keith play paint-ball with a group of gays, while Claire quits her position of "assistant" of Olivier. Lisa schedules a Shiatsu session with Brenda to see and meet her. "Tear, Bones & Desire" is a weird episode of "Six Feet Under". The paint-ball game is the boring part of this episode, and the behavior of Ruth is very silly. The relationship of Claire and Russell is interesting, and I personally hate the insecure and boring Lisa. My vote is seven. Title (Brazil: "Lágrimas, Ossos e Desejos" ("Tears, Bones and Desire")

A brilliantly written episode
chupektomas5 October 2022
In this episode, everything is perfect, the pacing, the character development, the writing. I like this series from the Pilot and I love it since the character development started to graduate (the second half of the first series). I've never liked that many characters in any TV show before. And as in the real life, sometimes I want them to change, to make a different move. And in this episode finally the characters who needed it most step out of their comfort zones and I think in a very satisfying way.

Six Feet Under continues to show that the life is always more complicated that we sometimes wish it to be but there are nice and simple moments that are important glue of all the things. This shows delivers just pure satisfaction for the people with an open mind.

A lesson in acceptance
dawidjagusiak17 November 2021
What a refreshing episode, after two seasons of stellar narrative (driven mostly by drama and contradictions), season 3 is off to show us (so far) what happiness looks like (bit boring and uneventful). This episode adds on top of it an interesting layer of acceptance, of how you mature happiness, without breaking it apart. Everything seems so fragile, people go out of their comfort zones to learn something new about themselves and others and Daddy's unconventional family serves as a running commentary to the plot. Family which we think will be ridiculed for the way of life they chosen is given a fabulous, wise, and clearly relevant for the Fisher's speech during the funeral. A beautifully written episode.
