No Funeral
ucdawg1210 March 2009
I liked this episode. Jill Soloway is my third favorite writer on this show and so her episodes are always good. My only problem with this episode (and season thus far) is that it seems like the funeral home has really been put on the back burner. Sure, stuff takes place there but it really doesn't have much to do with the show this season, ESPECIALLY in this episode. The character who dies in the beginning had nothing to do with the rest of the episode, she was mentioned once early in passing and never talked about again. It felt like they just threw her death in there cause they had to, but really didn't want to. There was no discussion about her or her life or how it related to the rest of the episode. I guess you could say the book she was reading or something but that is so minor compared to how the writers did things in the first season (at least that's how I remember it). It just seems they want to get away from being about a show about death and how these characters live with it to a show about these characters simply live and this episode has been the biggest example of that to me so far.

Repression and Relief
claudio_carvalho5 November 2006
While in a line waiting for Dr. Dave's show "Making Love Work", Karen Postell Pepper dies of nose bleed. Lisa, Nate and Maya go camping with another couple and their son. Ruth rents the 1972 "Silent Running" for Arthur Martin. Claire makes love with Russell, and David believes he is gay. Nate hikes alone to the top of a mountain, has an erotic dreams on Brenda and later he has sex with Lisa in the woods.

In this episode, Nate explodes with Lisa, and after having sex, it seems that their relationship may work. The sixth sense of David feels that Russell is gay, but Claire does not believe, while Ruth seems to have some feelings for the weird Arthur Martin. My vote is nine.

The most hilarious episode yet!

We have watched the entire season when it first came out and are now re-watching it on Netflix.

I did not remember this one and how hilarious it is! Seems some people need to start lifting weights! :-D You have to watch it to see. I am not telling you! Haha

I love that "Dwight" is in it from "The Office", way before he was on that show. It's really significant episode as far at Nate and Lisa go, and even Brenda.

I noticed Brenda is in almost every episode even though she left, but now I can see how she is working into the future episodes and also the common dreams everyone is always having.
