While walking in the rain with a stolen umbrella, Lawrence Henry Mason is struck by a lightening and immediately dies. I can perfectly understand why Nate left home when he was seventeen with such an irritating mother. The ambiguous and difficult situation of Keith is becoming weird in his job. Nate is completely lost, and Claire totally confused. Brenda seems to be very stable regardless of her deranged mother and twisted boyfriend. My vote is eight.
