After Homer manages to buy Oscar polish, Alec Baldwin warns Kim Basinger that she's taking the finish off her statuette, to which she retorts that he can take care of it however he likes when he wins one. Losing to Tim Robbins for Mystic River (2003), Baldwin earned a Supporting Actor nomination for The Cooler (2003), which, as of 2020, remains his only Oscar nomination.
