Gentlemen, to evil

Bart and Lisa spend the summer at Kamp Krusty.

This is a classic episode with great dark humour.

I love the opening scenes and build up to the summer, but the main plot at Kamp Krusty is a wonderfully dark parody of summer camp life that includes great references to 'Lord of the Flies' and tributes to various movies. Bart and Lisa have some memorable moments here.

The scenes of Homer and Marge enjoying life without the responsibility of parenting contrasts the nightmare of Kamp Krusty perfectly.

Bart and Lisa get their wish to spend the summer at Kamp Krusty

This is the opener for season 4. This season has a lot of wonderful episodes. It's one of the strongest seasons throughout the entire series. This season opener definitely doesn't disappoint.

The premise of the episode is that Bart and Lisa go to Kamp Krusty. Kamp Krusty just wasn't what they thought it would be. Krusty isn't even involved! The school bullies are their camp counselors! It really is that bad.

Meanwhile, Homer and Marge have never seemed happier. Homer's losing weight, gaining hair and reviving the romance with Marge.

This is a really neat episode with a lot of spot-on jokes. It's a classic. Kamp Krusty has since become a cornerstone of Springfield lore.

Watch this episode and figure out why.

Definitely the peak of the peak of The Simpsons. Kamp Krusty was top drawer stuff and demonstrated why The Simpsons was more than a cartoon for sure. It was funny, witty, wicked and hilarious all in one for sure.

Welcome to Kamp Krusty!

This is the first episode of the fourth season of the Simpsons and it is a very strong season opener. The jokes are spot-on and the episodes are quite creepy. The episode also, surprisingly enough, mentions a problem involving kids, especially Chinese kids, and that is making merchandise. The episode has a funny spoof on that. Plus that song being sung is a good one.

In this episode, "Kamp Krusty," Bart and Lisa are happily sent to a summer camp created by Krusty the Klown. But they realize the camp is much different. The school bullies are the camp counselors and they are forced to do inhumane things. Plus, Krusty himself is absent from the proceedings. Meanwhile, Marge and Homer are having one of the happiest moments of their lives away from the kids.

Overall, this is an excellent season opener and it is very funny and kind of sad seeing the children being treated this way. I hope this episode is the start of an incredible season. All Hail Kamp Krusty! I rate this episode 9/10.

Dark--Even for The Simpsons

So, a retelling of Lord of the Flies. There are all sorts of visuals relating to that. What we have is a child abuse camp run by Krusty the Klown, though he is actually in England for Wimbledon. The camp is run by school bullies and psychopaths. But with Bart realizing what is going on, they bring about a coup and take over the camp. It's quite funny but a bit too real.
