Warning: Spoilers
A clever episode (even if a bit tad unrealistic but still) where Homer is the latest food critic that lands him in hot water as he writes scathing reviews of Springfield's eating establishments. I love Marge's line at the end where she surmised that only Homer could take on a part-time job at a small time newspaper and be the target of international assassins.

Lisa's line, "It's low fat!" to save Homer from food poisoning was quite hilarious for sure, especially with the end where you see the the elephants from the zoo chasing Homer.

Does this episode represent the end of the Golden Era, which I humbly count as the first ten seasons. Maybe or maybe not.

One of the last

This is one of the last good episodes in 'The Simpsons' franchise.

It was absolutely top notch from season 3-10, then started to dwindle in season 11, though this is one of the better episodes before its demise.

And by demise obviously I don't mean the show itself, as it survived long past its expiry date. I mean the demise of any original material.

As you trudge through the barely watchable seasons 11-13 there are a few diamonds in the rough, but after that it is just a consistent formula of repeated jokes and almost always a musical interlude.

It really is a shame that they continued to make terrible episodes constantly after ones such as this, but I get it, it has made them a bunch of money.

Too bad, since it could have gone down in history as possibly the greatest sit-com ever made if they had known how to handle the show better.

One of my favourite episodes

Some people say The Simpsons went down hill after season 8. Some even say it went down hill after season 7! But I think this episode is a good example of why it was still going strong in Season 11.

I laughed so hard at the very sharp and quick jokes throughout this episode and I think the storyline is great too.

This IS a very good episode and one of my favourites.. that's why I'm giving it 10/10... not 5/10

Lisa mimics Homer

We laughed hard when Lisa Simpson was trying to find the right words to describe Homer drooling, leading to her doing the same thing!

Guess who's coming to dinner

I always like Lisa and Homer centred episodes, and this is a good example.

This 11th series of 'The Simpsons' has really started well, and this episode is full of great visual and verbal jokes throughout.

Homer is at the centre again, and this proves again that the shows focus has moved away from Bart, who was the focus in the earlier years.

With a good plot, some nice winks to other films/TV shows and some nice guest voices this is a very good episode.
