That dance
cherylkyrandia1 April 2023
This is one of the better episodes of Seinfeld. It centres on Elaine as she tries to impress her coworkers and underlings at a party. In doing so, she makes a complete fool of herself when the dance floor gets going. Her dance is nothing short of hilarious. George, being present to the party recoils in disgust and as he shares this story with Jerry and we find the bad dancing has some history. Meanwhile, Jerry gets forced into bootlegging movies and George tries to impress a woman by being a bad boy. All the story arcs are pretty hilarious and you'll be in stitches over that dance. You'll cry - then you'll cry again (from laughter).

"It was more like a full body dry heave set to music!"
SLionsCricketreviews30 December 2015
Warning: Spoilers
One of the most iconic of all "Seinfeld" moments is arguably the picture of Elaine dancing, her little kicks, the upward jolting of her hands, complete with a big confident grin!

"The Little Kicks" is a memorable episode, where the plot is once again constructed meticulously. The way the plot transitions from Elaine to George OR from Jerry to George is stunning, once again helping confirm "Seinfeld" as the father of all sitcoms.

George's 'bad boy' image is excellent, and his story line is terrific, even if perhaps a tad underused. Jerry and Kramer share an excellent story, full of bootlegging! Seinfeld, though not the greatest actor, is terrific in his awkward facial expressions. I found myself laughing constantly at his facial acting!

There is little that needs to be said about the acting. Michael Richards is exceptional, and he and Jerry Seinfeld share a hilarious opening scene where they discuss what side of the sidewalk is most dangerous to walk on! Jason Alexander as a 'bad boy' is hilarious and Julia Loius Dreyfus as dancing Elaine is memorable! The excellent Jerry Stiller has a brief, but memorable appearance at the end of the episode.

"The Little Kicks" is vintage "Seinfeld". Memorable and iconic, it should not be forgotten.

She Can't Dance, Don't Make Her
Hitchcoc16 March 2023
The story involves Elaine's frenetic dance moves which she exhibits at a party for her employees. They lose all respect for her and she becomes the butt of a ton of jokes. Meanwhile George meets a pretty blonde woman at the party and because she thinks he's bad news, she's attracted to him. Things get nuts from there. He oversells his bad boy image. Elaine spends much of the time trying to find out why the employees are so cold to her. She blames George, not herself, but the chickens eventually come home to roost. She decides to tell the truth about George and break the new couple up. There is a great ending scene.

"You wanna piece of me... You got it"!

Warning: Spoilers
The Little Kicks is one of the most famous episodes ever. Seinfeld was a show that was great to start off with and got even better towards the end. The Little Kicks proves it. The Little kicks is one of those Seinfeld episodes that has so much stuff going on in it. Many episodes are like that. Actually, it seems like every episode has a lot going on in it. The Little Kicks is definitely one of my favorite episode, and if you've seen it, you know why. The episode features a few famous moments from the series. Like Elaine's dance. I do Elaine's dance all the time, I know it looks odd. But it's funny as hell and awesome. Not only is the episode great for that, it's great because of the situation Jerry's in and the situation George is in. The Little Kicks is one of my favorite episodes, and it's a classic. Seinfeld is a classic show, so there you go.

The Plot of the episode: Elaine loses trust of her staff after she portrays an embarrassing dance at a party. She tries to accuse George. Jerry and Kramer go to see a new film called "Death Blow" with a friend of Kramer named Brody. Brody gets sick during the movie, holds Jerry at gunpoint, and forces him to bootleg a movie.

FUNNIEST. OUTTAKE. EVER.
ronniehrubin3 September 2019
The plot of this episode is good and, of course, we all laugh at Elaine's "dancing". And Jerry's line about not being able to work under these conditions, regarding his piracy methods, is definitely a take on the entertainment business. But the truly funny part of this episode is what's not on this but on the outtakes. If you haven't seen it, YouTube "Elaine fights Mr. Costanza" and prepare to laugh and laugh. This outtake ranks right up there with the Tim Conway ad-lib outtake on the old Carol Burnett show. And if you haven't seen that one, YouTube as well.

Funniest Seinfeld EVER
poontangible14 December 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Besides being the funniest Seinfeld episode ever, I watch this every time it's on because of the starring actress--Rebecca McFarland who played George's potential love interest.

Watching Elaine dance and everyones' reaction to it is hilarious. Like most Seinfeld episodes, this one has lots of subplots. It's outrageously funny as Kramer brings a black-market video bootlegger to Jerry's apartment and winds up getting Jerry to film a bootleg video for the criminal.

The scene at the end is also a hoot when George's father has to rescue him from the police station. George's father insults George, Elaine insults George worse, and George's father and Elaine get into a fist fight. All the while Rebecca is sitting next to George simply looking beautiful.

Rebecca McFarland is, in my opinion, the most beautiful, alluring, and sexiest woman ever to appear on Sienfeld. Magnificent face, perfect figure, and luscious legs--what else could you ask for except more of Rebecca.

The BEST episode
rebecca-gzym16 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Julia Louise Dreyfus is a National Treasure! If this episode is on, I stop what I'm doing to watch. It can make a bad day much better for me. The dance, of course, is ridiculous and over the top, but that's why it works. Of course, Kramer is the one to let Elaine know that she "stinks". And the end scene with George's dad is just as hilarious. If you have a chance to watch the outtakes of that scene, it's even better. The side story of the bootlegging is ok, almost any scenes with Michael Richards are immediately funnier. You will never listen to Shining Star by Earth, Wind and Fire the same way again.

"Go get 'em, Death Blow!"
juanmaffeo7 May 2016
Coming after "The Bizarro Jerry", this episode is somewhat more "normal", though it has its fair amount of weirdness.

The plot is divided into two story lines. In one, Jerry and Kramer go see the movie Death Blow with a friend of Kramer. Inside the movie theater they find out that he is a bootlegger. Eventually they get caught in this illegal business and Jerry becomes and bootleg artsy master. In the other story George and Elaine star a love-parent triangle between the two of them and one of Elaine's employees. Thanks to some commentaries Elaine gives to Anna (the employee) about George being a "bad seed", Anna now has the hots for George for his "bad boy image". The rest of the story revolves around George trying to be as bad as he can and Elaine, acting as Anna's mother, trying to set them apart. On a secondary note, Elaine has trouble keeping the respect of her staff following the incidents in the office party. This is the most memorable scene in the episode.

On a more analytical point of view, this episode has a realistic world and at the same time it touches with some absurd ground. This ground being the mother-daughter relationship between Elaine and Anna, George's shifted personality and Jerry suddenly becoming an artsy filmmaker (and that random ending). It makes sense with its own absurdity, even if this absurdity is somewhat more tamed than in the previous episode. On a side note, the two story lines are great but they never interact or collide with each other. Not a particular bad factor but a key factor to Seinfeld standards.

Elaine finally got to do something funny.
ThunderKing65 June 2023
It took 8 years. But they got the job done.

This review was made in June on number date 5. In year of the 2023rd in century 21st of the G calendar.

What was this episode of Seinfeld about? Jerry deals with a sketchy bootlegger and has to deal with Elaine's dance Moves.

Kramer also deals with the sketchy bootlegger.

George becomes a bad boy for a damsel.

Elaine shows off her dance moves.

The story and the production overview: A very good episode. Many things going on. Brody really helped to make this episode a success.

Highlight: Elaine dancing and Jerry freezing after George asks him if he seen Elaine dance.

Laugh meter: 8

Girlfriend attractiveness: George's GYAL was a good 8. She had a nice lil back.

Villian: Brody and the damsel for only liking George because he was a rude bwoy.

Overall: A very nicely done episode.

What can be learned?: people get guns because of too many misunderstandings haha... The 2nd amendment laughs as it crumbles.

Verdict: this epie was a real kick.

Bootleg
safenoe19 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The Little Kicks is famous for Elaine's extreme kick and jerk dancing, and yes it's funny, but I think the joke kind of got well-warn half-way through the episode. For me, it was the bootleg subplot that got me laughing big time, because I remember the bootleg videos at the time where someone was furtively video-recording a movie in the cinema, and I chuckled big time when Jerry became an expert in this, and he wanted three cameras and all because Jerry was taking his role seriously as a bootlegger. Anyway, Pete G. Papanickolas plays the Man on the Street. Definitely this episode is worth watching.

Elaine Showing Off Her Dance Moves
Samuel-Shovel28 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
In "The Little Kicks" Elaine becomes the laughing stock of the office after showing off her bad dance moves at an office party. Jerry and Kramer accidentally get caught up in the world of bootlegging movies. George starts dating a girl from Elaine's office who thinks he's a bad boy.

While Elaine's dance moves are classic, the rest of this episode is very forgettable. I hadn't seen this in years and I couldn't even remember what the other storylines were about. George's high school bad boy gimmick is painful to watch and the bootlegging story is fairly humdrum.

The downslide begins....
steveknightvoice17 January 2022
Up until season eight, Seinfeld drew upon everyday minutiae for comedy. Sure some of the humor could be rather broad. But from this episode on, it becomes downright cartoonish. Larry David is sorely missed.

Elaine's storyline is plausible enough, even though its a bit over the top. But the Jerry making bootleg videos thing is silly, and pretty far-fetched, even by "Friends" standards..

One Of The Best From Season Eight
film_poster_fan19 October 2021
This episode features the physical comedy of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who has received more awards during her career than any other cast member. Elaine's story is of more interest than the other three in this episode. On a side note, reviews that mock other reviews are shameful.

I like the bit where Jerry has to video all the movies for that other guy. Illegal bootleggin', guns, short men (RiP, Jerry Stiller) who don't take no guff from the rest of society'! What more could any ''Sein-Fan'' want from a typical 'Seinfeld' episode!! This is America!!! ''George is like a virus; he attaches himself to a healthy host company, and the next thing you know, the entire staff is infected...'' ''People with guns don't understand. That's why they get guns: too many misunderstandings...'' An okay episode, unlike most of this s(h)itcom, which is just plain 'crapolla'... In the Inside Look Jerry says that a mountain-hiker's life wuz saved from a mountain lion cuz of him, literally, screamin', ''YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME!'' Probably cuz it wuz just him screamin' that scared him off... He probably could've just screamed at him, ''GEORGE IS GETTIN' UPSET!'' and that STILL would've caused the mountain lion ta bounce...'The Little Kicks ep.; ''Illegal bootleggin', guns, short men (RiP, Jerry Stiller) who don't take no guff from the rest of society'! What more could any ''Sein-Fan'' want from a typical 'Seinfeld' episode!! This is America!!!''
