Cock and Bull
Hitchcoc22 March 2023
When Kramer gets bad eggs at the diner, he decides to buy a chicken of his own. Unfortunately, he gets a rooster. Previously, Jerry has bounced a check at a bodega, and the check (a silly clown check). Even though he makes the check good and gives the proprietor and extra twenty dollars, the guy continues to display his check. Well it's tough but soon it is found out that the store owner is having cock fights in the back and the rooster (Little Jerry) is quite formidable. George, meanwhile, goes to a women's prison where he meets a young felon and visits her every couple weeks. He love it because he knows where she is and he has no boundaries to deal with. Very good.

Jerry!

Warning: Spoilers
Little Jerry is like Rocky in this season eight episode, The Little Jerry, and it's a lot of fun when Jerry himself (big Jerry) gets caught up in the fight and all.

John Michael Higgins plays Elaine's boyfriend Kurt, and one bit of trivia is that he played David Letterman in the 1996 movie The Late Shift, and it happened David Letterman appeared as himself in the Seinfeld episode, The Abstinence, which was only two episodes before The Little Jerry.

I'm enjoying rewatching and reflecting on Seinfeld, having first watched it back when it debuted in the early 1990s, so that's over 30 years ago init.

I like the bit where Kramer buys himself a live chicken.

Kramer the Rooster Trainer
Samuel-Shovel15 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
In "The Little Jerry", Kramer buys a chicken so he can have fresh eggs. It turns out to be a rooster that gets involved in an illegal cockfighting ring. A bounced check of Jerry's gets hung up at a local bodega, causing him ridicule. His parents mail him $50. George begins dating a convict. Elaine dates a man who shaves his head. She convinces him to grow his hair out but, when he realizes he's balding, begins to become disheveled.

George's great scheme to date someone who can't do the casual pop-in is pretty great. Kramer's egg-cum-cockfighting scheme is not bad either. Everything works but there's nothing super special that comes to mind. The sum of all the parts don't add up to a stellar episode like you might expect.

It's one of those
ThunderKing62 April 2023
Episodes that looks good. But it feels rushed, and stupid.

Month of review: April Number date of review: 02nd Year number of review: 2023rd Century of review: 021st

What is this episode about? Kramer is dumb as hell and buys a rooster instead of a chicken. And joins an underground roost fighting club.

(Imagine if Seinfeld used pitbull fighting instead of roosters. Now that would be comedy)

George dates a convict

Elaine takes issue because a guy is bald

Jerry deals with a bounced check and rooster fighting

The story and the production overview: A meh episode. It has its tiny moments but its hash. Just wish they fought bully breeds instead. Haha!

Elaine is clearly a Bword in this.

Highlight: George dating a criminal in prison.

Villian: Elaine she's a Bword, Jerry and Kramer fighting roosters but not pitbulls who love to fight.

Girlfriend attractiveness level: George's girl was a 6.8.

What can be learned?: Seinfeld crew don't mind showing that its okay to harm roosters and etc. But dogs apparently are safe from harm.

Verdict: Dognuttery.

Animal abuse is NEVER fun
TerribleKatherine19 April 2023
I do not comprehend what made them include cock fighting in to the show. There is no humor in animal abuse. In the beginning of the episode Jerry even states that it is illegal and unethical, but some how all of a sudden is okay with it. The "gang" does a lot of shady stuff in the show, but considering the episode is very weak in all the aspects of the plot and the humor, the cock fighting makes even less sense, because it drags the episode even more. I can see how the show is starting to lose its soul, the characters are becoming even more unhinged and mean. Kramer is a dumb character, but that doesn't mean he should be mean too.
