Kramer (Michael Richards) having seizures every time he hears Mary Hart's voice is based on an actual case reported in the New England Journal of Medicine. In 1991, a woman named Dianne Neale suffered epileptic seizures from hearing Hart's voice.
In an homage to Jerry Seinfeld's obsession with the Christopher Reeve SUPERMAN films, the object of Jerry's affection is Becky Gelke, played by Helen Slater, who portrayed SUPERGIRL in the 1984 spin-off film, Supergirl (1984).
The cast and crew had hoped the saying, "You are so good looking," would catch on with fans just as "These pretzels are making me thirsty" did, but it proved to be a comedic flop.
Helen Slater played Becky Gelke in this episode. Neither Slater nor her character's name were listed in the end credits.
